We have gotten away from updating our fishing reports due to being so busy and not much time when running charters everyday. We are going to start posting monthly fishing reports rather than weekly so we can stay on top of it.
April started off with a bang. Redfishing has been off the charts along with decent numbers of speckled trout moving in. Limits of redfish have been easy to pinpoint during April and plenty of trout are around. There are a lot of 10-13 inch trout around with a few nice 14-18 inch trout mixed in, but the big girls have not arrived in big numbers as of yet. Fishing in the marsh targeting marsh points with good tide lines have been producing reds, trout and sheepshead. Very few keeper trout are on oyster reefs but it wont be long and the oyster reefs will turn on. Obviously live shrimp as been the best with a few days of good activity on plastics.
As we are nearing the end of April I expect the bigger trout to become more plentiful and we will be switching gears chasing big trout, weather permitting.
